Proof that I really don’t look at my stats page much.

About a week ago, I made a post in which I mentioned that while traffic to this blog was fairly low, at least it was consistently about a hundred people every day which I felt was pretty good for a blog that is mostly one middle-aged guy rambling about whatever game he’s most recently played or whatever piece of technology is currently making me miss the days when I still had hair to pull out in frustration.

And, as part of that post, I got curious about WHERE these visitors were coming from and one thing led to another and I realized that Google had not been indexing the site for at least a decade.

Anyway, I fixed that.  Here are my site stats from Google for the last week.  These are not super impressive stats but at least I exist on Google again.

And just to bring this home, here are my site stats from Google for the last twelve months.

So I really do NOT know where the people who find this blog are coming from.  Other search engines?  Random RSS feeds?  The mind boggles.

The Google Search Control Panel doesn’t let me pull much more historical data.  It let me pull numbers from July 1 2025 to present, and I won’t bother with a screenshot because it was exactly the same.

If I was actually trying to get traffic, I think this would go down in history as one of the greatest own goals of all time.  Absolute peak.
